Dorr William Powers, Jr., "Bill", died on August 6, 2014. Bill was a lifelong Cortland resident born to Dorr, Sr. and Carmella Mandarano Powers on January 12, 1947. Bill was a US Army Combat Veteran serving bravely in Vietnam from 1966-1968. Bill retired from SUNY Cortland; serving two terms as CSEA Union President. Bill was a dedicated Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed golf and OTB. Bill is survived by his daughters, Susannah Powers Olliverre and Julie Powers Taibi, granddaughters Nina, Yvonne, Mia and Olivia, niece Amanda, nephew Sean and siblings John, Annabel, Chris Powers.
