Obituary of Kennard W. Brown Sr.

Kennard W. Brown Sr. 60 of Spafford , passed away October 21, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Ken was born May 9, 1954 in Cortland, the son of the late Harold and Mary Jane Bergman Brown. He attended Homer High School, and had been employed by Sid Fisher Farms before working with the Onondaga County Highway Department after 37 years of employment. . He was an avid hunter, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Ken is survived by his wife Debbie Filkins Brown of Spafford, his children: Kennard (Scarlett) Brown Jr. and Michael (Donna) Brown of Scott, Belinda( Kenny) Brown and Deanna (Reggie) Brown of Cortland, 12 grandchildren. His brothers Richard Brown of Spafford, and David (Lorenda) Brown of LaFayette., and sister Diane (Brian) Fisk of Truxton.. In addition to his parents Ken was predeceased by his brother Steve and sister in law Rose Brown. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the Scott United Methodist Church.
