Clifford L. Parkin Sr., 96, of Homer passed away on October 30 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Cliff was born on December 15, 1917 in Auburn, NY to the late Kenneth C. and Davolean GoodFellow Parkin. Mr. Parkin spent most of his life in the Cortland area. He graduated from Cortland High School in 1938 and married his wife Mary in September 1940. Cliff retired from Pall Trinity in 1969. He was a member of the UCT, enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and hunting. In addition to his parents Clifford is predeceased by his wife of 68 years, his daughter Loretta Beaumont, his son Robert, his sister Blanch Spears and brothers Ralph and Robert. Mr. Parkin is survived by his son Clifford (Elaine) Parkin, sister-in-law Stella Partis, daughter-in-law Jo Carol Parkin, son-in-law Ed Beaumont, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10-11AM with a service at 11:00 AM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland with a burial to take place at Glenwood Cemetery.
