Obituary of Allen Russell Maxson

Allen Russell "Skook" Maxson, 77, of McGraw passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters and faithful companion "Tiger." He was born in Cortland the son of the late Arnold "Ozzie" and Ella Maxson. Allen is survived by his four daughters; Carrie (Michael) Pope, Kathi Maxson, Christy (Bruce) Holden, Allyson (Dan) Freelove, his siblings; Sheila Lorows, John (Eloise) Maxson, Barbara (Ken) O'Neill, Susan (Rodney) Bush, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Allen is predeceased by his loving wife Priscilla "Janie" and his daughter Cindy. Skook found his peace through hunting and communing with nature. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Earnhardt fan. He will be missed by so many who knew him. At his request, services will be private. Many thanks to all who helped celebrate his life with him at a party held in his honor by John and Sam Morse.
