Virginia M. Bennett 86, of Blodgett Mills, passed away July 14, 2015 at home. She was born April 8, 1929, in Windham, VT. The daughter of the late Harvey and Mable Herman Heller Sr. Virginia was a kind, caring, and compassionate person that would do anything for anyone. She will be missed by all that knew her. She had been employed at the Acme Market, and was a member of the McGraw and McLean Fire Department Aux. the Truxton and Virgil Senior Citizens Centers. Virginia is survived by her daughter Jane (Gregory) Sherwood of Virginia, her brothers David (Phyllis) Heller, and John (Mary) Heller both of Blodgett Mills, her sister Jean (Michael) Wells of Blodgett Mills, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Virginia was predeceased by her husbands, DePuy Freer, and Robert Bennett. Brothers: Harvey L. Heller Jr, Sam Heller, sisters; Margaret, Martha, Beatrice and Helen. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 10 am at Forest Hill Cemetery, Blodgett Mills, NY. At Virginia's request there are no calling hours.
