Obituary of Eric Henry Richardson

Eric Henry Richardson, 20, of Virgil NY, went to be with his Lord Jesus on July 26, 2015. He died tragically doing what he loved. He was born May 3, 1995, in Cortland NY. Eric attended St. Paul Lutheran Nursery School, St. Mary's grammar school, and graduated from Cortland High School in 2013. His joy was spending time with his family and friends. His passion for people was incredible. He thoroughly loved to ski; experiencing the sport at 18 months old; he was an amazing skier. He played football from 3rd grade until his senior year. Most recently, he discovered his love for photography and his attention to detail was superb. As a young boy, he was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He is survived by his mother Karin Knabe Richardson, his father Bryan Richardson, maternal grandmother "Omi" Lilliane Knabe, paternal grandmother "Minn" Monique Richardson, his uncles Peter Knabe of Cortland, Paul (Jodi) Knabe of Cortland, Grant (Lynne) Richardson of Canmore, Canada, and cousins Kooper and Kaylla Knabe, Cole and Britt Richardson. Also loved by his extended family in Pennsylvania and New York. He is predeceased by his grandfathers Henry Knabe and Gordon Richardson. Eric was the "light" in our lives and will forever remain so to all of us. A memorial service will be Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cortland NY, corner of Madison and Hamlin Streets. Wright-Beard Funeral Home is serving the family.
