Marilyn E. Barber 72, of Groton went to be with her Lord May 1, 2016 in Cortland Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Marilyn was born August 26, 1943 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Pettet Burgett. Marilyn was a 1961 graduate of Cortland High school, then went on to graduate from Binghamton School for Practical Nursing in 1963. She had been employed by the Cortland Care Center, Dr Donlick, and the William George Agency. She was a member of the Homer Ave. United Methodist Church, and an avid Antique collector. She was a member of the antique car club, and volunteered at the CNY Living History Museum Marilyn is survived by her husband Russell Barber of Groton, her children Roger “Skip” (Karen) Frost of Cortland, Charles (Jackie “Sweet Pea”) Frost of Virginia, Ruthann (James) Jones of Groton, and Kathy (Steve) Little of McGraw. Her grandchildren: Brandon Dustin, Thomas, Megan, Brittany, Zane, Larissa, Honali, and Anna.Her step children David, Mandy and Lori In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Frost. Funeral Services will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday at the Homer Avenue United Methodist Church Friends are invited to call from 5:00 – 5:45 pm prior to the service.
