Sheila M. Taft, 68 of Homer passed away on June 1, 2016 at Cortland Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 5, 1947 in Hornell, NY a daughter of the late Wendell and Margaret Willey Taft. Sheila worked in the accounting office for H.S. Edinger Trucking Co. since 1989. She was an avid Gardner, loved bowling, was a member of the special Trophy League, held the high score in Cortland County for series bowling, and was in the Cortland County Hall of Fame for Bowling. Sheila devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. Sheila is survived by her wife, Cindy Northup, two sons, Mike and Christopher Ouimet, Tom and Lorrie Vosburg, one brother Stephen and Debi Taft, one half-brother and two half-sisters, four grandchildren, Kassandra, Kooper, Ryan and Allen. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son Jim Vosburg and grandson, David Harrhus. Calling hour will be Wednesday, June 8 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 12 p.m. Services will take place at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. Burial will follow in Atwater Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Cortland County SPCA, 879 McLean Road, Corltand, NY 13045
