Obituary of Robert W. Johnson

Robert W. Johnson 80, of Cortland passed away June 11, 2016. He was born January 25, 1936 in Watertown, NY the son of the late William and Keitha Eamer Johnson. Robert served his county with the US Army during the Korean conflict. He had been employed by Marietta Corporation in Cortland for several years. His memberships included being a life member of the Moose clubs in Elmira and Cortland, as well as serving as Governor in the Club, past member of the Elmira Heights Volunteer Fire Department, the Italian American Club in Watertown, and the Eagles Club. Robert is survived by his wife Sandra Sherwood Johnson of Freetown, his sons Robert, Kenny, Dale and Roger Johnson, daughters Linda Kelly and Robin Helmer, sister Shirley Justice 15 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren. A calling hour will be Saturday 1-2 pm with a celebration of Robert's life to begin 2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Friends and family will be invited to share a memory at 2 pm.
