Obituary of Diana L. Willis

Diana L Willis 58, of Cortland passed away October 10, in Syracuse, NY. Diana was born July 7, 1958 in Cortland the daughter of Gerald and Amie Homer Willis Sr. Diana enjoyed a lifelong career in food service which included Cortland Memorial Hospital, Loaves and Fishes. She then became a dedicated longtime employee for AF&V Services at various locations including Marietta, TC3 and lastly Intertek. Diana is survived by her mother Amie Willis, her daughter Mandie Willis, Brothers Richard Willis, Gerald (Linda) Willis Jr, Marlin Willis, Carl (Deb) Willis, Justin (Dawn) Willis, Francis “Frank” Willis, Ronnie Willis, and Kevin Willis. Her sisters Janet Shaw, Marlene (Gid) George, Amy Willis and Joyce Willis, her grandchildren Tyrig, XzaZier, and Ukiah several nieces and nephews. Diana was predeceased by her father. Gerald W. Willis Sr, her sister Joan P Willis-Elander Longtime companion Joe Malison Diana was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, mother and Nana. She wore her heart on her sleeve and enjoyed d helping others in their time of need. She affected and touched so many with her caring and tender soul. Her smile huge welcoming heart, and her never give-up, ready to go personality was almost contagious. She will always be remembered and will dearly be missed by many, especially her only daughter Mandie Jo and close friends Nancy, Carolyn and Edna. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. friends are invited to call from 11:00 – 11:45 am prior to the service.
