Obituary of Mildred L Phillips

Mildred L. 'Millie' Phillips 71 of Cortland, NY passed to join her parents Harold E. Brewer and Ethel Moore Brewer on October 17, 2016. Mildred (Millie) married Richard Phillips on March 27, 1981. They enjoyed a happy marriage and had traveled in their motor home extensively. Millie operated a diner in McGraw for several years. She attended TC3 graduated and retired from the Cortland County Social Service Department. Millie is survived by her husband, Richard, daughters, Mrs. Ann (Earl) Eaton, Greene, NY, Mrs. Sheri McKay (Mark Martinek) Binghamton, NY, Mrs. Michelle Vandee (Scott Brown) McGraw, NY, sons, Dan Phillips, Homer, NY, Brian (Terisha) Phillips Homer, NY. Also, sisters Olive Maynard, Newark Valley, NY, Ethel (David) Archer, South Carolina, Lucia (Bill) Martha, Florida, Mabel (Rex) Lord Lisle, NY, Helen Stevens, Cortland, NY, Sarah (Harry) Stokes Texas, brothers, Bill (Anne) Brewer, Maryland, John (Dale) Brewer, McGraw, NY, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son, John Phillips, sister Dorothy Downs, and her four babys, twin girls, and two boys. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. burial will follow in Blodgett Mills Cemetery.
