Lamar A. Griffis of Blodgett Mills, passed away December 20th, 2016 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Lamar was born August 20th, 1959 in Adak, Alaska, the daughter of the late Harold Griffin and Eleanor Cullip. Lamar worked as a manager at the Express Mart. She was very sociable and loved being with people. Most importantly, she loved being with her cats. Lamar is survived by her daughter Melissa (Darrell) Norton, brothers; Harold (Gloria) Griffin, Steven (Debbie) Griffin, sisters; Virginia (Earl) Carnegie, and Sila (Dale) Argyle, grandchildren; Travis, Owen, Caydin, Elissa, Oakley, and Carter and several nieces and nephews. Lamar is predeceased by her children Shawn and Lewis Griffis, and sister; Deborah Griffin. Friends are invited to call from 10:00am – 11:00am Monday December 26, 2016 at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY. A time of sharing will be held at 11:00am.
