Nancy Moss, 68; unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on January 31. Lifelong Cortland resident; Nancy attended Virgil, Dryden and Cortland High School before rleceiving her R.N. at Tompkins Cortland Community College. Nancy worked as an R.N. at Cortland Nursing Home, Highgate (Crown Park) Nursing Home, University Hospital in Syracuse and finally landing at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Nancys first love was for her family; she is survived by her Daughter Alison (Osborn) (Steve) Hartquist of Atlanta, GA; her son Joseph Moss; of Allentown PA; her Grandsons, Dana Michael Kibbe and Cameron Joseph Kibbe; two Granddaughters Jai-lin Green and Nevaeh Rae Scott. She is also survived by her mother Phyllis Moss, two sisters Cathy (Ed) Shaffer and Judy (David) Marshall and one brother Charles (Chuck, Russell) Moss; several nieces, nephews, cousins and neighborhood children. Nancy was pre-deceased by her father Charles Moss in 2000. She could often be found at Yaman Park, Durkee Park or anyplace the fish were biting. She loved having her hands in the dirt as was apparent by her beautiful flower garden. Nancy made amazing arts and crafts and was a talented musician and vocalist. Nancy spent many years as a parishioner of Parkside Assembly of God where she volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher and and Prim Leader. She could always be counted on for a good cup of coffee, conversation and if you left her house hungry it was your own fault. There will be a Memorial Gathering at the Homer Elks Club on Saturday, February 11th at 1:30 pm, please come join us. If you would like to help or have any questions please private message
