Daren H. Brown Sr. "Skip", passed away peacefully on Monday with his family by his side. He was born April 8, 1946, the son of the late Herbert and Doris Brown. He was a lifelong resident of the Cortland area. Daren drove truck for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, especially making wishing wells. He was best known for his sense of humor. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, family, and friends, which there are many fond memories. Daren is survived by his children Mark (Julie) Sr., Daren (Colleen) Jr., James (Heidi) Sr., Scott (Tammy), Doris (Bill) Castine, 27 Grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and longtime companion Sharon Brown. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. A calling hour will be held 2-3 PM prior. To offer condolences online, visit www.wright-beard.com
