George R. Seibel, 83 of Homer, NY passed away on April 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife Anne, and their children.

George was born in the Bronx, NY to August “Gus” and Lillian (Luff) Seibel on November 27, 1933.

George graduated from the Machine and Metal Trades in the Manhattan, NY and immediately joined the US Navy. George proudly served on the USS Dyess from 1951-1955. Upon discharged George married Anne Bucci.

George was employed by Judson Jewelers located in Diamond District in New York City.

He served as a Lieutenant in the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department from 1970-79.

George is survived by his wife of 61 years Anne (Bucci), their daughter Susan and Bill Burkhart, Carol Graziano, George Seibel, Cathy and Ken Cain, and Steven and Kerry (Volpe) Seibel. He is survived by his grandchildren, Melissa, Jill, Greg, Jamie, Kim, Kristen, Kenny, Vincent, Nick and Brooke, and his great grandchildren Kristopher, Nikko, Camryn, Sophia, Nora, Grayson and Bradyn.

Visitation will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY, on Sunday April 30th, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the American Cancer society in honor of George.
