Obituary of Robbin J. Brill

Please share a memory of Robbin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robbin J. Brill, 58, of Cortland, NY, passed away suddenly on July 20, 2017 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born on December 1, 1958 in Monahans, TX, he lived most of his life in Scott, Homer and Cortland. Robbin was owner of Rockin Robbin Taxi which was the biggest accomplishment and joy of his life aside from his children and family. Robbin had many passions, to mention a few: keeping people from driving drunk, hunting, shooting pool, gambling and helping others. He loved playing Santa at Christmas time and riding around wearing his Santa outfit. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion where he loved to go for a soda, talk with his favorite bartenders, and other members, and gamble (luck was usually with him). He fought and won a battle with throat cancer, never giving up or losing his positive attitude. Surviving are his children Benjamin Brill, Julie (Amanda) Triplett, Chrissy (Mike) Lederman, father Frances (Bud) Brill, brother Jamie (Beth) Brill, sisters Tracey (Arnie) Parker, Teresa (Gerry Hurlbut) Nelson, close friend Jane Sharpe, several grandchildren, and other extended family. Robbin is predeceased by his mother Wanda Fruin Brill who passed away June 20, 2017. Calling hours will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26th at Wright Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY with a short funeral at 2:00 pm.
