Katherine (Kate) Nichols 82 of Cortland New York passed away August 13, 2017. Katherine was born March 14, 1935. The daughter of Howard and Blanche Wing Leonard. Katherine was employed at Smith Corona for25 years, at NCC for 2 ½ and DSO Center State for 11 years. She enjoyed walking her dog, camping and television. Katherine is survived by her children Valerie (Mark) Warner of Idaho, Joseph (Melissa) Nichols of Cortland New York, and Penny Shepard of Arcadia Florida, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Katherine was predeceased by her parent and one brother William Leonard. In honor of Katherine's final request there will be no services. Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family with arrangements.
