Dear Sarah and Meg, Don Wilcox shared with me the sad news about your parents. I am very sorry for your losses. Our Holy Spirit Community was so special. We really were a family. I remember especially the Christmas Eve parties at your home. Your mother was a fabulous hostess. Everything was perfect- the tree, the home decorations, the food, the atmosphere. Your parents had a wonderful sense of style and were always warm and welcoming. I have many fond memories of the church and your parents were such a big part of it- your mother in the choir, your father ushering. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Joann was one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing or working with. She was a true angel on earth, and our local community owes her so much. Sarah and Margaret, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. We lived across the street from you on Madison (49) for a few years, (you babysat for my girls on occasion) when we were all much younger. JoAnn held a rare and precious place in our mom's heart, earned through steady, compassionate friendship for over half a century.
