While looking at my husband obituary, I was sad to see the passing of these beautiful people. I met Lee and Margaret years ago at my parents in law church, Christian Assembly of God, on Port Watson St, Cortland NY. I haven't seen them in a long time, but I remember how nice they both were. A very lovely couple. Rest in Peace. Laura Mieras

Margaret and I had known each other for 58 years. Best friends for 56 years. In June 1980, we took a 2-month leave of absence from our jobs to backpack across the U.S. We did just that! We left as best friends and returned as best friends. The trip was amazing! Many lessons were learned, new friends were made, and many adventures were had. Margaret always wanted to find her Prince Charming and have a family. I would always say, Patience, my friend. She did find her Prince Charming (Lee). Together, they bore three children: Judith, Jesse, and Jonathan. Her dream/desire was fulfilled. Although life in general put space between Margaret and I. Three things would forever remain: our deep-rooted faith, and our admiration and love for one another. " What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply, becomes part of us." Helen Keller

Lee and Margaret! Thoughts of you both when you moved next door to us on Sunnyfield Dr-what a pleasure it was to have met you! You only had Judith at that time but you were both so kind and both Joe and I remember you fondly. Glad to have met you both and hope you have eternal rest…together! The McMahons

I have known Margaret for 57 years. We met in 8th grate at Lincoln Jr. High in Syracuse. I remember her help with math and her kindness. We stayed in touch for the rest of our lives. She is a special friend. I remember camping trips to the Five Ponds Wilderness area that Margaret would plan and many friends would join. After she married Lee we continued to stay best friends, and the whole family would visit us in the Adirondacks, and i would visit them in Cortland. Those were special and blessed times for all of us.

Margaret and Lee were the kindest people. I was fortunate enough to meet them at the Cortland YWCA swimming pool. I looked forward to talking about life while water walking with Margaret, as Lee patiently sat and waited for Margaret. I will miss our shared times, and know they are together in a better place. Peace to you both.
