I had the most amazing art teacher and her son Tim and I were in the same grade!! Then I find out we're cousins, she was such a happy, sweet and and so talented!! I send my love too Timmy and all the rest of the family!!!
I have many wonderful memories of getting to know Judy through St Mary’s Mother's Network group over thirty years ago. She shared her time and talent and was so patient with us as we created beautiful ceramic pieces in her art room. I think of her every time I put out the Nativity set I made back then. Her warm and welcoming smile are unforgettable.
I’ll always remember when Judy bought matching comforters for Maureen and me for our dorm room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our space feel more like home.
I also think back on Sunday family dinners at the Johnson house—good food, warm conversations, and a feeling of being truly welcomed. Judy had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and cared for.
I’ll always remember Judy’s warmth and kindness.
I had Mrs Johnson at St Mary's School. She was probably one of my favorite teachers. I loved art class. She was always quite serious about supplies and safety but also very fun and supportive. She did an amazing job with the art shows every year. And I even remember her coming in a few times on her Saturdays so that some of us could finish our projects. She will have a most beautiful spot in heaven ❤️
I am so saddened to hear of Judy's passing. She was such an important person to me in my younger years, her deep faith in God was a great inspiration to me and her unconditional love was a much needed gift. My girls had the pleasure of her art classes at St. Mary's and then again at the art studio. I still have many of the hand drawn Christmas cards she so lovingly made, they come out for display every Christmas May she rest in peace.
Judy will be a role model for me forever. She always found the best in every situation. She was the best example of Christ I have experienced. She was joyful and talented. The World is a better place because she was part of it. Rest in Peace. Celebrate joy in heaven.v
Oh my beautiful pillow. Hugging you was the next best thing to hugging our Lord. Now you can feel what we have felt being near you. I taught you my limited guitar skills as a young teen (ok was over 40 years ago) and was just longing to hear you calming voice speaking to Jane and I. Truly one of the kindest, most caring women I have ever known. So much of my childhood includes memories of Mama J. She always welcomed me into her home and her family. Such a wonderful listener. Never one to judge but always ready with wisdom to impart. I always felt at peace in her presence. As time passed and miles grew, the Johnson home was always my first stop driving in to town. I always looked forward to every Christmas card and in fact have everyone one she ever sent me. True works of art and always with a special message and a wonderful update of the family with the annual picture in the cornfield. Our world is certainly less bright without her presence. She will be greatly missed. I hope she has a chance to say hello to my pearents. May she be at peace with her Lord and full of joy in being reunited with her sweet husband.
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Judy. Such a lovely lady always full of light and joy and it was a blessing to know her. Her families are in our thoughts and prayers at this heartbreaking time.

Judy was one of the most influential people in my life. I'll never forget the first time I heard her playing her guitar and singing. A few months later she went with me to purchase my first guitar. I still have that guitar and I try to play every day. Practice, practice, practice make mediocre. But that's OK. I love playing my guitar. Thank you Judy. You were a very special person in the lives of many. God bless you. RIP
What a wonderful person. It was always sunny when we were with her. I have always cherished our talks as she always wanted to know what I was building.
