I might not be blood related but he was my adopted uncle and he helped raise me and my siblings and we have had many good times and amazing memories that I will never forget

In Loving Memory of My Great Uncle
I hope that, despite everything that happened in your final days, you always knew how deeply you were loved—how much you meant to those of us who cherished you. You were an amazing great uncle, always so good to us.
I’ll never forget our regular check-ins and shopping trips, how you always made sure we had a little treat, and our lunches at A&W—always in our favorite spot, always ordering the same thing. You had a way of making the simplest moments special.
You were thoughtful in the little things, always keeping fireballs, gaw breakers, and fudge pops for our visits. And, of course, the toy box filled with the best toys, because you loved having children around and being part of our lives. Your kindness and warmth were unmatched.
I can still hear the sound of your scanners running all day. Seeing your bike in the back room from your many bike rides. The simple joys that made you, you. You were a kind and loving man, and I will hold those memories close. I’ll cherish them always and strive to pass that same love and kindness on to my children and their children.
You will never be forgotten.
-Love your favorite niece

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Richard?
A: My Uncle Dick was always caring. He made it a priority to call me daily just to say hello and how was your day. He loved his great niece Danielle Turner and great nephew Joshua Thornton. He enjoyed riding his bike all night and stopping for pizza with Joshua's over night visits. He had the opportunity to listen to his great great nephew Jasper, son of Danielle on the phone and wish he could see what he looked like. He will greatly be missed by all. Love you always Uncle Dick.
