Obituary of Richard Henza

Richard Henza, 78, of Cortland NY passed away on February 4, 2025 at Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born February 21, 1946, Richard grew up in Canajoharie NY. He attended the Franklin Institute of Boston, and later SUNY Cobleskill where he met his wife Barbara (More). They moved to Cortland in 1979 and have been residents of the city ever since. Richard had a life-long passion of antique cars, specifically cars built prior to WW2. He frequented antique car shows throughout Upstate New York, and always enjoyed talking with other car enthusiasts. He especially loved any opportunity to teach kids about old cars. Richard was predeceased by his parents Donald Henza and Esther Schwartz. He is survived by his wife Barbara and daughter Alissa of Houston, TX. The family had decided to not have a public service, and will celebrate his life privately later in the year..
