Obituary of John Struempfler

John Struempfler, 72, of Marathon, NY, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1952 in Brookyln, NY. John was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. John took pride in his job when he worked for the Metropolitan Transit Authority. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his children Jeannette (Robert) Maurer and John (Julia) Struempfler, his sister Janet Struempfler, his grandchildren John, Emily, Jamie, Amanda, Kimberly, and Tommy, and his great grandchildren Blake, Bryce, Olivia, Ashton, and Alayna. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Struempfler. Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025 from 10am-12pm, at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY.
