A proud veteran, Robert served his country with honor in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, Robert dedicated his career to Cornell University, where he eventually retired from. Outside of work, he found joy in golfing, building model airplanes, Knights of Columbus and collecting coins. However, his greatest passion was studying the Bible, which guided him throughout his life. Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Helen Bell, and a loving father to Christopher Bell and Kelley Brangan. He was a cherished grandfather to Scott, Sarah, Katie, and Victoria, and a proud great-grandfather to Joseph, Emily, Scotty, Zachary, and Jackson. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering faith will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
