Though I had the privilege of spending time with Mr. Catalano on only a couple of occasions, there were two things that were very evident on those occasions. The first is the everlasting love he has for his grandchildren. They were the joys of his life and I hope they continue to feel his love throughout their lives. The second is the immense pride he has in Michael's accomplishments as a graduate student, scholar, and now university faculty member. I am certain he took equal pride in the accomplishments of all of his children. He clearly felt blessed as a father and grandfather.

Some of my fondest memories are of spending time in Cortland with the family. We sat around for hours talking and having a good time. Tony’s family are always so welcoming. Cousin Tony was unforgettable and extraordinary and will be missed.

Every time it thunders, I’ll remember that “silver bullet” hurtling toward the pins at Cort-Lanes. RIP old friend.
