Over the years, from the time I was a little boy to now, an old man whenever I saw Aunt Marie I'd always remind her that, as my godmother, she 'made my soul white'. We'd always laugh.
Aunt Marie was the modern aunt. She was 12 years younger than my mom but when I was an infant she moved in with us. She was in her early 20's.
I also thank her teaching how to tie my shoes and teaching me the old saying: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". I remember her telling me that she was going to be married. I was only about 5. It was very exciting.
She was a very caring woman and I will cherish her memory. I last saw her last year. Although she didn;t speak very much, she still could communicate her love. And I love her in return!

Dear Rose and family ,
Your Mom always had a smile and a very welcoming hospitable way of greeting me . You took such great care of her and you should be proud to know that you were the best and most caring anyone could ever be . I’m sorry and I know this separation will be difficult but know you aren’t alone . God Bless my friend , love Donna
