Peggy Elaine Smith, 65, of Cortland, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 14, 1959 in Cortland, NY., to her parents, Neal F. and Bernice I. Buchanan Sutton.
Peggy made her career working at the Crescent Corset Company. She was a person to whom family meant everything; including her extended Church Family at Crown Alliance Church.
She is survived by her husband Earl Smith, siblings Joe (Dianne) Sutton, Gordon (Debra) Sutton, and Glen (Pam) Sutton; her aunt Beulah Karcher; her uncle George (Ethel) Sutton; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Gary Sutton; her sister Irene Buchanan; and her dog Star.
