Obituary of Edward Fitzpatrick

Edward Fitzpatrick, age 78, was born and raised in Cortland, NY to Gertrude Kaplan and John Fitzpatrick. He died on March 22, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He fought the disease with dignity and will be missed by many who admired and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Compagni Fitzpatrick of California, his son Cory Fitzpatrick of Georgia, his daughter Erin Fitzpatrick, her husband Joe Cosenza and their children Logan and Sabine Cosenza of New Jersey. He is also survived by brother-in-law Joseph Compagni, his wife Katherine, and sister-in-law Deborah Mastronardi, her husband Jim, and nephews Stephen Compagni, Garrett Mastronardi, and niece Laura Compagni. He graduated from his beloved Notre Dame with degrees in mechanical engineering and jurisprudence. Ed was an avid golfer, woodworker, Crossfit participant, fan of Notre Dame football, and mentor to many. His employment as a real estate developer in New Jersey and California brought him many moments of pride and success. Donations in his memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
