Bev- my wonderful friend for 40 years- was so kind and caring- a truly beautiful person! We built our houses together. We raised our children together. We traveled together to so many places. We played pitch every month (guys against the girls). We celebrated birthdays together. We formed wonderful memories that mean so much to us! I miss you already, Bev! The world is a better place because you were in it!

Bev and I were in kindergarten together where she became one of my very first childhood friends. We remained friends throughout high school and although we didn’t stay in contact in our adult years, she always remained a beloved friend who always had a special place in my heart. We spent many times as teenagers together; she was so kind, and fun loving and she had such a warm heart and spirit! I am saddened by her passing and Dave and her family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time! Bev was a beautiful soul!

Dear Jones Family...Your wife, mother, grandmom, and sister, was the sweetest, most gentle, and kindest friend I could have ever known.
We started together in Kindergarten, double dating a few times (sharing funny moments, like daring to skinny dip is the lake), and travelling to Florida for Spring breaks. I was honored to be an attendant in her wedding.
Each class reunion, Bev and Dave, welcomed me to stay with them, as I now lived in Florida. She would share the news of the area, and tour me all around to see the many changes in Cortland/Homer. On my last visit, Bev drove us up to the lake house...that special little cottage that she loved. Our last visit was here in my kitchen, sharing lunch before she and Dave headed on down to Sarasota.
My sincerest condolences to the Jones/Whiteford family. Dave, you surely chose a fabulous partner, and friend to share your life with. Bev...with her beautiful smile, and cute little giggle, was so dearly loved, and will forever be missed. Hugs and love to all of you.
Fondly,
Patty Dyer Coffing
