Obituary of Richard M. Martin

Richard M. Martin, 71, passed away April 10, 2025. He was born July 3, 1953 in Syracuse NY, the son of the late Kenneth and Anne Landi Martin, Sr. Richard was raised and educated in Syracuse graduating from Bishop Grimes High School. Richard started out at Green Hills in Syracuse as a Meat Apprentice and worked his way from Meat Cutter, Meat Manager, Meat Specialist and Asst. Store Manager with P&;C Foods and Tops Supermarkets. He enjoyed his yellow lab Angel, music and cooking for his family and friends who he loved making memories with. He is survived by his wife of 21 years April Martin, his sons Jason Martin and Tim Martin, his daughter Robyn (Glenn Thompson) Martin, his grandchildren Sophia Martin, Kyle Thompson, Fiona Martin, and Skylar Thompson, his brother Kenneth Martin Jr., his nephews Kevin (Francine) Martin, Scott (Lizzy) Martin, his niece Michelle Martin. A calling hour will be Wednesday April 16, 2025 10-11 am with a memorial service to begin 11 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
