Obituary of Sandra Daum

Sandra Daum, 77, of Cortland, passed away on April 12, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. She was born on November 28, 1947 in Malden, Massachusetts to her parents, the late George S. Palmer and Ida May "Benson" Palmer. Sandra was an excellent reader and enjoyed traveling. She especially looked forward to trips to Newfound Lake, NH, as well as visits to Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Sandra had a selfless and caring heart, with a true affinity for helping others. Her humble and compassionate way of life was reflected in her chosen career working at the Cortland County Office of the Aging. Sandra is survived by her loving family, her husband Grant M. Daum; her children Peter (JoDee) Daum, Christine Daum, and Amy Daum; her sister Ruth Maloof; grandchildren Cassandra, William, Emma, Evan, Molly and Matthew. In keeping her wishes, services will be held privately. As Sandra was a true lover of animals, those wishing to make a memorial contribution, are asked to consider a donation to the Cortland County SPCA
