Ira G. Holl, 92, of Homer, NY passed away on June 5, 2025 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at The Scott Community Church (Scott Methodist Church) on June 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Reverend John Aukema of the Scott Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Union Cemetery, 6487 St. Rt. 41, Homer, NY, with Military Honors. Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. will be handling the funeral arrangements. Ira was born in Cortlandville, NY to Kenneth and Elizabeth Holl on October 10, 1932. He went on to earn his GED certificate from the US Army. He was the owner / operator of Homer Logging Contractors, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, and above all he loved his family. He was a member of Homer American Legion and served as Chairman of the Trustees for the Scott Methodist Church for many years. Ira is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Shirley of Homer, children, Steven Holl, Patricia (Michael) Ryan, son in law, Steven Hubbard, sister Dolores Lesnau, grandchildren, Ben, Erin, Josh, Courtney, Kelley, Brian, John, Eli and Stacie and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his children, Kenneth Holl & Susan Hubbard, grandson, Joesph, daughter in laws, Mary Holl and Elaine Holl, sisters Elsie and Louise and brother Bill.
