Shawn P. A. Geroge, 49, passed away the Guthrie Cortland Hospital June 14, 2025, after a battle with lung cancer and COPD. He was born in Cortland on August 18, 1975.
He loved being outside, reptiles, wrestling, and football, especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He is survived by his mother Linda George, his brothers Richard, Jason (Angel), Gerald (Helen), Matthew George, along with two other brothers and one sister. He had two sons and two grandchildren, a lot of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Richard George Sr., grandparents Gerald & Dorothy Cobb, Jospeh & Philamena George, many aunts, uncles, a cousin and a nephew.
A celebration of Shan's life will be held Thursday June 26, 2025, from 10-11 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
