Lee Charles Conway and Margaret Thomasa Conway passed away eleven days apart from each other. Margaret passed away on May 10th, 2025, 69. Lee followed soon after her on May 21st, 2025, 70. Lee and Margaret both departed this world in the comfort of their home, surrounded by the love of their family and friends. Lee Charles Conway was born in Bethesda Maryland, on February 5,1955. He graduated from Baldwinsville Academy in 1973 and went on to serve in the US Army from November 20th, 1975-November 19th, 1979. Stationed at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was honorably discharged after four years of service; receiving the army commendation medal for meritorious service. Margaret Thomasa Conway was born in Syracuse New York, on July 18,1955. She graduated as an honor student from Henninger High School in 1973. She went on with her studies at Upstate Medical University becoming an R.N in 1975 and went on to work at the Plaza Health and Rehabilitation Center for 10 years. Lee and Margaret met in the summer of 1983 while Lee was working at Teen Challenge in Syracuse. They married on September 21st, 1984, at Grace Assembly of God. After they married, they moved to Cortland N.Y. where Lee worked as a crew chief for Crown City Construction for many years, earning awards for his integrity and commitment to excellence. As an entrepreneur, he continued work as a contractor running Conway Carpentry until his retirement. Margaret worked for 15 years at the Cortland Care Nursing Home on the dementia unit until she was forced to retire early due to kidney failure. During her years of service, her unwavering love for her patients made their days more peaceful and filled with compassion. Lee and Margaret were deeply committed to raising their three children, Judith, Jesse, and Jonathan, homeschooling all of them. Above all, Lee and Margaret loved Jesus and spending time together with family and friends. Their main purpose in life was to tell others about the love of God and share that message with as many people as they could. Lee and Margaret are survived by their children Judith Conway, Jonathan Conway, Jesse Conway and his wife Ellen and their three children Declan, John and Aithwen. Lee is predeceased by his father, Milton Conway, mother, Mary Conway, sister, Winnifred Barina and is survived by his brothers Chris Conway, Pat Conway, and sisters Mary Anderson, Terri Morgan and many nieces and nephews. Margaret Conway is predeceased by her father Joseph McDonald, mother Helen Rapko, brother Mark Rapko, and is survived by her sister in-law Laurie Burnham, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Lee and Margaret's lives will be held on Sunday, June 29th. Please join us as we honor their memory for brunch in the Taverna room at 11:30 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow upstairs at 1:00 p.m. in the Acropolis Room.
