Nancy T. Knox, 94 of Cortland passed away on July 6, 2025 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was born on July 1,1931 in Eaton, PA a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Moran. Nancy spent her childhood in Pottsville, PA before relocating to Ellenville, NY in 1951. She married her late husband Harold (Hank) Knox in 1951. Nancy relocated to Cortland in 2000 to be closer to her family. Nancy was a member of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed memberships in Stella Doro, 20th Century Club, RSVP and volunteered at Cortland Memorial Hospital. She loved dogs, bird watching, and Yuengling Beer. She is survived by her children, Michael (Noreen) Knox, Krista (Charles) Day, Paula (John) Chantrell, and Barbara Duryea, Grandchildren Ethan, Devin, Nicholas, Jennifer, David, Sarah, Michelle and 7 great grandchildren and many cousins. Nancy is predeceased by a grandson, Mark. Calling hours will be Friday, July 18th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. A service will follow at 6:00 PM. Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 19th in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of Cedar Run for the excellent care they provided to Nancy.
