In the beginning Frances and I started out as patient and nurse but over time our relationship grew more deeper than that. Fran would always look forward to my visits to see how she was doing, give me plenty of stories of how her day was going, and any new issues she was going through to be solved. It was always a pleasure to be her nurse! The Owen family treated her with love and compassion like no other. They treated myself like family as well, which I am eternally grateful for. Frances will be one of those patients that will stick with me for a lifetime and taught me many lessons along the way, including why I became a nurse. Her loss is definitely felt but I am glad I was able to be a part of such a great woman's life.

There is no love like the love of a mother! We appreciate everyday we have been blessed to know her, she was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed! We are so very sorry for your loss and I’m sure she appreciated the great daughter you were to her.

The three words best to describe my great grandmother is Courageous, Strong, and Beautiful. I chose the word strong because she has been fighting for her life in the hospital these past few years and she kept kicking until her very last breath. Beautiful because growing up and going to Aunt Shar’s for her birthday she always had the brightest smile on her face and she was always a beautiful woman and I looked up to her. Lastly courageous because I think she continued fighting just so she could protect the family and continue seeing her great grandchildren. Love - Annabelle Rose Owen
