Obituary of Patricia VanOstrand

Patricia Lynn VanOstrand, 50, of Blodgett Mills, N.Y., died July 18, 2025 from a short term battle with cancer in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Patricia was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. on August 28, 1974 to Sandra B. Hunt and Blaine E. Lamson. Patricia graduated from Homer Central School District in 1993. Patricia received her Associates degree in Business Administration in 2010. At the time of her death, Patricia was employed at Denny's Restaurant in Cortland, N.Y. Patricia had a great passion for her work and all that she came in contact with. Patricia had a great work ethic and went above and beyond to help others. Patricia is predeceased by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, father, and father-in-law. Patricia is survived by her husband Wilbur (Skipper) of 21 years and daughter Samantha. Patricia is survived by her sisters, Bertha Lamson, Monique (Darrin) Marshall, and Robin (Joseph) Bakos and brother Thomas (Rianna). Patricia has many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly. Patricia is survived by her loving parents-in-law, Dallas and TJ Hewes. There will be no services.
