Gregory Roger Peck, 87, of Pitcher, NY passed away on Thursday July 17, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1937, the son of the late Anacletus and Cecilia Sady Peck. Greg was a loving father, brother, and friend. He served in the United States Navy from 1955-1963. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and tending to his plants. Greg was always active. He enjoyed chopping wood, walking to the post office, and being out and about. He was an excellent guitarist. Greg once played with the famous Chet Atkins. His family all loved hearing him play. One of his favorite songs was 'This Ain't My First Rodeo,' by Vern Gosdin, which was the last song Julie listened to with him. Greg loved fried haddock from the Cortland seafood. He and Julie would stop there for fish dinner. His homemade rhubarb sauce was the best and he cooked like a pro. He will be greatly missed. Greg is survived by his sister Barbara Dziedzic, his children Julie Giordano and Gregory Whaley, his formally adopted children; James, David, and Susan, his nieces and nephews Carol, John, and Patrick, his cousins Blanch and Chester, his grandchildren Chaz, Gavin, Vincent, Nicholas, Sofia, Landon, Heidi, Jason, Erica, Ian, Devin, and Robert, and his two cats Oreo and Misty. In addition to his parents, Greg is predeceased by his brother John (Patricia) Peck, his very beloved niece Barbie, and his brother in law John Dziedzic.
