Ace was a true free spirit…a beautiful light on Earth and I’m so very sorry she is gone. She was one of my most beloved students..creative and kind, full of empathy and caring for others, sweet to the core and a brilliant artist. I’ll never forget her “Sorrow” sculpture and how devoted she was to creating it. She worked on it for weeks, every chance she got and it was heartfelt and so moving. Ace…your memory will be a blessing to me and please know I’ll always love you.

Ace was one of my best friends. She had this smile that would make your darkest day brighter. She was a lot of peoples light and I was hers in return. I regret not knowing her more deeply and I will forever miss walk her to class and giving her a big hug and I kiss and telling her how much I loved her.

I remember me and Ace went to Bru 64 together one time. Me and her had spent that whole day together, it was nice. We walked around Cortland, goofing off, not caring if anyone saw us and judged us. She bought me a sweater that day, and I will always love and keep. Whenever I will wear it, I’ll always think about her and how sweet she was. She was truly a kind person, and had a beautiful soul.

Every single time I saw her in the hall at school she would give me this smile and it would warm my heart every time and make my day. I’m going to miss giving her hugs and kisses whenever I got a chance to. I love you so much ace♥️

Q: How did you meet Alayna?
A: The first time I spoke to ace, we were in a conversation with Mrs. P in art class my senior year and she was very sweet and I always had a hard time talking to people cause of my social anxiety but she was one of the most down to earth sweet hearted person to speak too. Weird to know someone you knew is here and then they aren’t, but knowing ace and the loved ones she had around her, she will live on forever.

I didn’t know Alayna in her older years, but I do remember all the time we spent when she was a little girl. She was always just a step behind her older sisters and she had a confidence about her like no other. Her personality was pure gold, and she had the most beautiful heart. Rest easy sweet girl.

Alayna was a beautiful and excitable soul, who I will miss very much. I worked with her at the daycare and she was always so wonderful with the kids, they adored her and asked about her whenever she wasn’t there. I remember the fun games she would make up to entertain them, it seemed she always had a new one to share. She was a hard worker, keeping our classroom clean and organized, never sitting idle. I always admired her commitment, perseverance, and energy at such a young age. She is so loved and will me so missed.

The first time Ace and I spent time together was at Dexter park. She brought water colors, and canvases I made a horrible painting of a tree that I never finished and she made a sunset. After we finished and she had to go home she gave me some paintings to work on as I walked her to her house. We would call almost regularly and talk about a future and and learn about one another. She always talked about how she wanted to move to Cali and have kids to me that was perfect.
