Gregory A. Sciera, 67 went to join his mother and father in Heaven on Friday August 1, 2025, while surrounded by his family and loved ones. Gregory was born in Jackson Michigan on March 7, 1958, the son of the late John L. and Bonnie Sciera.
Greg was a loving father, brother, teacher, coach, and friend. Greg's family grew up on Skaneateles Lake and it is here that he found a love for hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Greg played football, lacrosse and wrestled at Homer High school, he later played football at Cortland State and then Alfred where he eventually was named a pro prospect. He inherited his great work ethic and love for family from his parents and instilled that into his children. He took great pride in the building and upkeep of his three homes. Greg was a passionate Buffalo Bills fan and loved supporting all of his children at every sporting event. Greg was highly respected in the Groton community as he taught there for over 30 years and took great pride in being a teacher and football coach.
