Obituary of Ronald Tallman

Ronald Lewis Tallman, born 11/30/49 in the City of Cortland to the late Les & Vivian (Varnes) Tallman, passed away August 8, peacefully at home. Ron passed surrounded by immediate family after a private battle with cancer.
Ron is predeceased by his siblings, Richard Tallman, Sue (Tallman) Brown & Sandy (Tallman) Morehouse, and a lifelong friend Don Williams.
He is survived by a sister, Sherry Jackson; a son, Ron Libbey; daughters, Jennifer (Pedro) Collazo, Sarah (Justin) Sallis & Angela (Adam) Preuss; grandchildren, Ciara (Brandon) Pepin, Morgan Collazo, Tia (Juny) Collazo, JJ Sallis, Hayden Preuss, Abigail Preuss, Ian Preuss and 6 great grandchildren.
Mr. Tallman served his country in Vietnam and continued to be a proud veteran until his passing.
A time of sharing will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025 at 11am at the Dwyer Memorial Park, 6347 Little York Lake Rd. Preble, NY 13141. Military honors will follow at 12pm. The celebration of life will continue after the military honors at 12:15pm, everyone is welcome to join the family for food and beverages.
Special thank you to his grandson JJ for being there during the last months to help take care of "grandpa". Also thank you to Sheila Williams for the food and support. To his hospice nurse "Hadley" for helping our family to navigate our way through.
Ron, Mr. Tallman, Dad, however you knew him, was a humble and kind man who loved his family & country very much. He will be deeply missed.
