Obituary of Connie Ann Cowen

Connie Ann Cowen, 76, of Cortland passed away August 27, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on March 12, 1949, in Cortland the son of the late William and Doris Dudden Fox. Connie was raised and educated locally. She was employed with Cortland Line Co. for many years until retiring and began operating the Bummkin Barn. She enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, vacationing where the beaches are, but most of all enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Calvin "Cal" Cowen Jr., her daughter Rebecca (Mark) Tanner, her grandchildren Stone Tanner, Jagger Tanner, and Mariska Tanner, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Connie was predeceased by her son Robert James Cowen in 2022. Calling hours will be 9:30-11 am Friday August 29, 2025, with a funeral to begin 11 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
