Obituary of Lynda M Libbey

Lynda M. (Sheeder) Libbey, 60, of McGraw, NY, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born on March 25, 1965, in Cortland, NY, the daughter of Wayne Sheeder and the late Connie Overbaugh. Lynda is survived by her daughter, Tanya Chaffee (Mike Tinker), her son, TJ Sides, her father, Wayne Sheeder, and her sister, Tammy (Tom) Richards. She was predeceased by her mother, Connie, and by her husband, Lenny Libbey. Lynda had a generous spirit and a kind heart, known for treating everyone with warmth and compassion. She once served as a volunteer firefighter with the Harford Fire Department, dedicating her time to helping others. She also had a deep love for her cats, who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. Her family and friends will remember her as someone who gave of herself freely, cared deeply for others, and always carried kindness wherever she went. In accordance with the families wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor and remember her.
