Harold "Bud" Clayton Burnett Jr. November 1, 1948 – September 23, 2025 Harold C. Burnett Jr., 76, of Homer, NY, passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2025. Born in Rome, NY, on November 1, 1948, Harold was the son of Harold Burnett Sr. and Clara Witchley. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1971 to 1975. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Burnett Sr. and Clara Witchley, and by his two sons, Shane Holberton and Derek Burnett. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Burnett; his children Christina (Peter), Mandy, and Kevin; his stepchildren Tabatha, Mike (Amber), Frankie (Jerika), Bobby, and Donnie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Harold was a proud grandfather to 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. Harold will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the legacy he leaves behind in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday October 1st, 2025 1pm. Salvation Army, 138 South Main Street, Cortland, NY 13045.
