Thank you to the family for honoring his wish to have his war service recorded in the New York Times! He and his colleagues made our lives possible--here in the US and around the world. My dad was a B-24 pilot, flew 35 missions from a small base in England.

My sincere condolences to the Mullen Family. Hoping the entire Mullen family would be comforted at this time. I have many memories of Mr. "Fritz" Mullen. I was a customer for office supplies and coin collecting books. Mr Mullen was also a customer of the gas station I worked for. He was really a good man! I have noticed a few articles in the newspaper about him and was surprised of his service in the Air Corps during World War. God bless Mr. Francis Mullen!

What started as a place to buy things for my coin collection, ended with a man I was honored to call friend. Thank you for your service to our country and our community .

Dear Nancy
I just read the obituary of your father, Fritz, in the Cortland Standard. - Oct. 2, 2025. I would have loved to have been at the service. My parents, Harry and Leona Davis, were friends forever. I remember your mom, Betty and can still remember her distinct voice when she would call the old house on N. Church Street. I can still remember the distinct smell of the old Mullen store downtown and the many things I would purchase there when downtown was thriving. You were blessed, as I was to have such wonderful parents. People live on through our memories. God is good.

To the Mullen Family-What a life!
Fritz was one of a kind who we were fortunate to get to know at The Reitano/ Morris Skaneateles cookouts held for several years at the lake.My father, Richard Brown & Fritz had a "Special Bond"as Army- Air Force gunners ,members of the Kights of Columbus and solid Christan men .Fritz exemplified what a role model should be for any man--polite, softly spoken, with a tremendous work ethic. He was beloved by his family & friends.God Bless you on your spiritual journey ahead.R.I.P.

My condolences to the family.
I used to enjoy listening to Mr. Mullen tell me about when he was younger growing up and he would tell me about some of the history in Cortland, I found it fascinating.
Mr. Mullen was definitely one of the good ones. He will be missed.
Sincerely,
