Obituary of Loretta A. Hatfield

Loretta A. Hatfield, 79 of Cortland passed away on October 10, 2025 at Matthew House. She was born on December 14, 1945 a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth Lanpher Hatfield. Loretta worked at SUNY Cortland as an Auxiliary Service Worker. She was a very hard worker and was very handy. Loretta really enjoyed doing projects around the house. She enjoyed winter in Winter Haven Florida. Loved being on her tractor and working in her yard, but above all else she truly loved her family. Loretta was an avid animal lover. Loretta is survived by her life partner Janette Barrington, her brothers, Stewart Hatfield, Harvey Hatfield, sister, Camilla LaFavor, bonus children, Connie (Rob) Ervin, Royal Barrington, and several nieces and nephews. Loretta was predeceased by her brother Ralph Hatfield Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY.
