David A. Carr 1953-2025
David was born in Cortland, NY to Norma (Ayers) Carr and Albert Carr September 3, 1953.
David was a graduate of Cortland Jr. Sr. High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Constance J VandeBogart and were married in 1970.
David was a hard worker and enjoyed his career as a plate maker and negative stripper within the printing business for many years. Later in life, he joined Borg Warner and worked several years until he retired in 2015. He enjoyed 10 years of retirement and stayed busy with several projects!
David enjoyed family gatherings, camping, woodworking, and loved riding motorcycles with Connie and friends. He was always helping others with various things such as moving, yard work, and interion/exterior painting to name a few.
David is survived by his daughters Wendy Carr and Amy (Michael) Aiken, grandchildren Matt (Alexandria) Carr, Bryce Raymond, Anna (Zach) Schwartz and Carlo Mancini, great granddaughter Adaline Carr, brother James (Karen) Tanner, sisters Joanne (Gary) Harrington, Carol (Michael) Dawson and Susan (Kevin) Eisenberg as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
David was predeceased by his mother Norma (Carr) Tanner and father James Tanner, sister Janice (Tim) Hurley and former wife, Connie J. Carr.
David passed away quietly with his family by his side. Per David's wishes, there will not be any funeral services. He wants his life to celebrated, not mourned.
