I played a lot of golf with Rob over the years both in pga events and also on our Monday excursions. He was a true gentleman and great person. I will forever miss his smile and golf talk.

Rob and I played high school golf against each other back in the 70’s and as fellow PGA professionals for the last 30 plus years. My fondest memories playing golf anywhere and anytime were with Rob. The last 7 years I’ve lived out of state but I loved Rob like a brother and we played golf together as much as possible. He will definitely be missed.

Rob and I played competively for more than a decade. As a partner I never had a better one. As a competitor he was always feared and respected.
We worked together at Marietta. He was extremely respected by his team and his peers. Thanks to Rob’s recommendation my family was given the opportunity to return to Cortland from Colorado to work at Marietta Corporation. For that I will be forever grateful.
I regret we didn’t play very often during the past two decades. Rob was confident, but never cocky and always humble on and off the course.
My heart goes out to Machell, Robbie, Jenna and Ruth.
Rest in peace my friend,
Tim McCabe

So sorry to hear of Rob’s passing. I played many tournaments with him and he was always a pleasure to play golf with. I have fond memories of our trip to Desert Mountain where we stayed at “the compound”. I was paired with Rob at Elm Tree this year. We had a great time and he made everything that day!
I will miss him

My deepest sympathy goes out to my extended family over the loss of Rob.
I knew him as Robbie J. He was my oldest cousin on my mother’s side, and I was his youngest. I’ll never forget how kind, genuine, and humble he was. Those words weren’t in my vocabulary then, but as an adult I recognize that he was the embodiment of them all.
As a child, when we visited from Vermont, he allowed us (Robin and I) to hang out in his attic bedroom and play 45’s on his turntable. Seasons in the Sun, is the one song I vividly remember playing. It seems sadly fitting now. I also have a memory of him liking the song Rhinestone Cowboy for some reason.
They are fleeting, disjointed memories but what remains is how he made me feel welcomed, and not like a pesky little kid messing with his stuff. He always seemed genuinely happy to see our family and spend time with us. We still have pictures of Rob and Machell (circa 1980) on the wall at our camp on Lake Champlain, VT. from a long ago visit. I regret we didn’t visit as much as we should or could have. I often wonder how our lives would have turned out, had we never moved from Cortland in the mid 1960s. I think we all would have been really close and had a lot of fun together!
Rest in peace, Rob. You were clearly an amazing human being who lived life to the fullest. You will be remembered. and missed.
With much love,
April Ede Kilbury
