Obituary of Agatha Rose Dovi Cipriani

Agatha Rose Dovi Cipriani, 85, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. She was born on April 1, 1940, in Cortland, New York, to the late John Charles Dovi and Agatha Rose Mazza-Dovi. A 1958 graduate of St. Mary's School, Agatha was a resident of Cortland before moving to Roccacasale, Aquila, Italy, in 1993 with her beloved husband, Donato. Agatha was a talented baker and an excellent seamstress. She was a past communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Cortland, served on the St. Mary's School Board, and was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society all prior to moving to Italy. She is survived by her loving husband, Donato Cipriani; her children, Caterina (Antonio) D'Ascanio, Adriana (Jody) Rogers, and Dan F. (Melissa) Cipriani; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Shane, Alexandra, and Isabella; and her siblings, Anna Erdle, James (Michelle) Dovi, and Jeffrey (Susan) Dovi; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Agatha was predeceased by her infant daughter, Cassandra; her brother, John C. "Jack" Dovi Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Fred Erdle. Services were held in Italy.
