Roger L. "Rocky" Marks of Cortland went home to The Lord on November 19, 2025 at Guthrie Hospital after a lengthy illness. Rocky was born to Millard and (Brenda Dann) Marks in Auburn, N.Y. on April 27, 1949. He is survived by his wife Ida Marks, of 39 years, a Son William Haynes of Endwell, N.Y., a daughter, Sharmaine (John) Rehberg of Glen Aubrey, N.Y., Sister-in-laws Majorie Marks and Jo Marks, His Grand Children and Great Grand Children, several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. They were all special to him and he had a great love for them all. Everyone knew him for his sense of humor and making people laugh. He was loved by all his family, friends and those who came in contact with him. His favorites were television, hunting and fishing, woodworking and his lawn. Also spending time with family and friends. He loved the Lord and attended The Church of Blodget Mills. Roger was predeceased by his parents, siblings, a daughter and granddaughter. Special thank you to the staff at 2 South Cortland Guthrie Medical Center and ICU and Dr. Malakar. Calling hours will be held on Monday December 1, 2025 from 10am - 11:45am with a funeral to begin at 12 noon at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY.
